Recognised as a Criminal Law Rising Star by Doyle’s Guide in 2024, Philippa is a talented and hard-working criminal defence lawyer who is committed to delivering high-quality legal representation. She brings a client-focused approach to all matters, providing representation to clients in all areas of criminal law in the Local and District Courts.

Philippa’s experience spans the full scope of criminal law matters, including drug offences, domestic and personal violence (including ADVO applications), theft, fraud, and driving offences. She regularly appears as an advocate in court, handling sentences, section 14 applications, defended hearings, and bail applications. Her experience extends to instructing counsel in complex District Court and Supreme Court trials, including sexual assault, drug supply and Commonwealth matters. She has developed a trusted network of barristers that she briefs for those matters.

With a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Macquarie University, Philippa has a deep commitment to making the legal process accessible. She excels at simplifying complex legal issues, helping clients understand their options and feel confident in their defence. Known for her thorough and empathetic guidance, Philippa is also a skilled negotiator, experienced in working with police and prosecutors to achieve favourable outcomes.
